Over three decades of experience in his field, board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (’91), completed his residency at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, served at the Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, served in the United States Navy in Okinawa, Japan, medical director for hospice, affiliated with Central Florida Regional Hospital and Florida Hospital, certified medical director, owner and primary care physician with Lake Mary Family Care Place of Well Being. Board Member Chief Medical Officer Place Of Possibility Inc nonprofit organization supporting families with a child on hospice.

Christine Bryden

Christine Bryden MN, APRN, FNP- BC

Christine Bryden is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. After working globally as a Registered Nurse, she furthered her studies and obtained her Master’s of Nursing degree from Athabasca University. She has propelled her passion for health and wellness ever since. Christine has 22 years of direct clinical experience specializing in complex chronic disease management, women’s health, the neurosciences and occupational health. She has a passion for empowering patients through patient education and disease prevention. Christine is passionate about educating future healthcare providers and volunteers as a clinical preceptor for NP students as well as medical students, resident physicians and RN students. She is a dedicated patient advocate and believes in a collaborative relationship with all healthcare professionals and her patients. 

Brittany Stranahan

Brittany Stranahan DNP, ARNP, FNP

Brittany is a board certified family nurse practitioner and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She then continued her studies at the University of Cincinnati where she completed her Doctor of Nursing practice degree. Brittany’s 20+ years of experience has included work in the intensive care unit, labor and delivery, hospice, and emergency medicine as well as medical mission work in Africa.  Brittany has been a part of the Lake Mary Family Care family for over 2 decades, first becoming a patient of the practice, then working with Doc at Vitas Hospice and eventually joining the team here in office after completing her doctorate of nursing studies.  Brittany strives to serve her patients with compassion and collaboration to achieve the best health outcomes possible.

 

Rita Garman

After 2 plus years of serving the community with us and a very long journey with infertility we are both sad to say goodbye and so super excited for Rita as she retires from practice and takes on the role of full-time mommy! Congratulations Rita!

7 years of experience practicing in the emergency room is all one needs to know about Rita’s knowledge and expertise in applying her degree in patient care. She joined Lake Mary Family Care in order to have an ongoing relationship with her patients and her patients love her. Rita did her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida where she earned her degree in Health Sciences. She graduated cum laude and went on to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.
